LEARN MORE

Our Mission

With the Stride for a Cause Fashion Show, our mission is to empower and uplift through style, while building awareness and providing unwavering support for breast cancer survivors.

We are dedicated to creating a platform where fashion, compassion, and resilience converge to inspire hope, celebrate strength, and foster a community of solidarity.

Through our glamorous showcases and impactful events, we aim to shine a spotlight on the journey of survivors, honor their courage, and rally support for their ongoing fight. Together, we stride forward with purpose, determined to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those affected by breast cancer, one fashionable step at a time.

Meet the Founders

Marchina Smith, Founder & Event Coordinator

MarChina Latrese is considered to be the Queen Of All Trades who is a Florida Native. Her titles include, but are not limited to

  • Life Coach
  • Youth Mentor
  • Ghost Writer
  • Published Author
  • Event Producer

And the most important title she carries is MOMMIE as she has a daughter.

A woman who started out as a runway model who quickly found out her skillset would be better utilized off of the runway and not on the runway. This pushed her to found Tampa Bay’s very own Stride For A Cause. A fashion show produced that pays homage to Breast Cancer Survivors, in which proceeds from the show are given to survivors to pay off medical bills.

Her youth foundation Glow Up Girl was inspired by her upbringing, she wanted to be that open journal for girls her age to help them push through the same areas in which she found herself struggling in at her age.

She is a dynamic podcast host as she launched her own platform title Chat With China. This platform was produced to allow us as people the opportunity to speak on topics we want and most of the time need to have without the fear of being judged.

MarChina Latrese is a full time entreprenuer, but also still maintains a position in Corporate America. Passionate about all that she does, she lives by the motto “wake up today just to make yesterday jealous.”
